Pick your water
Keowee and Jocassee sit side by side in the foothills, and they could hardly be more different. Choose the day you want and we’ll put you on the right lake.
Before you head out

-
What to bring
Sunscreen, towels, swimsuits, and a cooler packed with food and drinks for the whole day. Shoes that can get wet make boarding easier, and a light layer helps on the ride back.
-
Best time of day
Early. Mornings are calm, the coves are quiet, and you have the light before the crowds. On Jocassee, storms often build between noon and three. They usually pass quickly: dock or beach the boat, wait it out, then head back out.

How the launches work
Keowee trips start at Crowe Creek access. Jocassee trips start at Devils Fork State Park, which charges for parking and admission; paying online before you go saves a wait at the gate on busy days. When you call, we’ll settle the launch and the time and talk through the forecast with you.
We watch the forecast and will talk it through with you before your trip. If a thunderstorm cuts your day short, give us a call and we’ll work something out for another day, depending on how much of your day you got.
